THE ESNNA PROGRAM AND OUR COMMITMENT

The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (MINCETUR) established a policy against the commercial sexual exploitation of children and adolescents (ESNNA). The ESNNA Code and Hoteles Inti Punku have entered into a joint cooperation agreement to actively prevent and eradicate this issue.

Sexual exploitation is a violation of human rights that impairs the physical, social, and emotional development of affected children and adolescents. ESNNA can manifest in various forms and settings, including:

ESNNA within the travel and tourism sector

Online ESNNA (via the Internet and through the use of ICTs)

CONCRETE ACTIONS – THE ESNNA CODE

Our adherence to the Code of Conduct of the ESNNA program commits us to continuously implementing and reinforcing a series of actions as part of our operations. Both our office staff and logistics team (tour guides, cooks, drivers, porters, and all support personnel) are fully trained to uphold the Code of Conduct.

Under no circumstances—and for strict ethical and legal reasons—will any traveler, whether domestic or international, be offered or facilitated any request related to child or adolescent sexual tourism. In line with these principles, we work collaboratively with our business partners (hotels, restaurants, etc., and their entire staff) to ensure compliance with the objectives and commitments of the ESNNA program across all sectors and stages of the tourism services we provide.

All of us at Hoteles Inti Punku, together with our operational partners, are committed to enforcing the ESNNA Code of Conduct and reporting to the authorities whenever necessary. The initiatives under the ESNNA code and Hoteles Inti Punku stand out and take priority within our social responsibility policies. We strive to make tourism an activity that brings only benefits to the region and the country, in line with our mission, vision, and corporate values.

WHAT CAN WE DO TO PREVENT THIS PROBLEM FROM GROWING?

Maintain an absolute rejection of ESNNA and warn of the associated prison penalties.

Immediately report any case of ESNNA to the Public Prosecutor's Office (Ministerio Público) or the National Police.
